There are three ways you can get involved with the North & East Yorkshire Group of Endurance GB:

Non-Members

Come along to a pleasure ride as a non-member. Non-members are welcome at all group and national pleasure rides and social events. Non-members pay an increased premium to cover on the day insurance. Non-members can also  use the ‘try before you buy’ scheme to participate in one novice level GER for those considering joining Endurance GB to compete at a higher level than pleasure riding.

Associate Members

Riders can join their local group of Endurance GB, North & East Yorkshire Group of Endurance GB, as an Associate Member. Associate Members benefit from reduced ride entry rates at local group pleasure rides and are eligible for trophies at the end of each season by purchasing a  Horse Distance Card. Associate Membership is a good route into endurance  for those keen to attend more than a couple of rides during the season.

From January 2014 Associate Membership is £35.00 per annum.
This can be paid online via Endurance GB website (see below) or members can continue to send cheques to myself:-  Lesley Owens, Kennel Farm Cottage, Knayton, Thirsk YO7 4BS and I will forward to the EGB Office.

New Associate Members can go to the Joining page at http://www.endurancegb.co.uk/html/joining.html and then clicking on the Join on Line option.

Existing Associate Members can go to the Members Only page at http://www.endurancegb.co.uk/html/membersonly.aspx and enter your existing member AM member number (without the AM prefix, so numbers only) and password.
You can also receive a reminder email for your password by clicking on the Send Reminder button.  However this only works if you have a valid email address on your membership record.  In the event you can email the EGB Office at office@endurancegb.co.uk and ask to be sent your password.

Associate Membership Benefits:

Full Endurance GB membership

Full membership is paid directly to Endurance GB. Endurance GB membership automatically gives you membership to your local regional group, North & East Yorkshire Group of Endurance GB. As a full member you benefit from lower entry fees, magazine subscription and you can register your horse for competition (GER’s & ER’s). Each horse is given its own log book to record and track progress, enabling you to work up from Novice to Advanced level competitions. Riders can compete  for national trophies  or purchase a Horse Distance Card  to compete for group level trophies.

…..Or lastly for those of you who prefer to keep two feet firmly on the ground, you can enjoy and participate in all  group events by helping out on the day and taking in the countryside crewing the riders as they go round on course!

A good way to keep up to date with all the latest Group rides, events, reports hints & tips is to sign up to the North & East Yorkshire Group newsletter. The Newsletter comes out quarterly packed full of useful information and members  letters and stories. Newsletters can be received both by post and email.
